Painted Bunting

I moved to Texas in 1980 and it was not until almost 30 years later I saw my first Painted Bunting. Before I was into photography I had no idea that these birds existed so you can imaging my excitement when I not only saw one but was able to capture one on in a photo. Taken with a Canon 40D and a Tamron 150-600mm lens.
