Before traveling to Romania we really didn't know what to expect. After crossing the border there were acres and acres of farm land. The outer parts of Timisoara were nothing special, but the old downtown and Victoriei Square were charmingly unexpected. I almost missed this alley topped with umbrellas which line the view of the Orthodox Cathedral.
