I am a film photographer and filmmaker in Austin, TX. I started shooting on film a couple Summers ago and have only fallen more in love with the process as I have continued to work with it. I have also been working on various short films of my own and helping with other's projects as well. Photography definitely bleeds into filmmaking. It's helped me grow in being able to see how an image looks and feels before I even peek through the viewfinder- it's really strengthened my intuition. When I'm not working on or thinking up ideas for a story, I find my greatest energy used in taking pictures and connecting to life through a lens. It's easy to get romantic about it, but it's all part of the fun of being a photographer. It makes me feel like an artist. Stories are everywhere and we can tell them in a single frame. I am totally infatuated with this medium and am excited to be in a time with such a strong resurgence in the use of film.
